Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver to provide non-medical home care services to clients residing within an independent living community. The Caregiver will assist clients with activities of daily living, personal care, companionship, and other supportive services in accordance with individualized care plans. This position plays an important role in promoting client independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
- Support clients with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks
- Provide medication reminders as permitted by company policy
- Observe and report changes in client condition or needs
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, facility staff, and agency personnel
- Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Reliable and dependable attendance
Work Environment & Schedule:
This position provides care to clients residing within an independent living community. Weekend availability is required, including Friday evenings (approximately 4:00 PM–8:00 PM) and 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays.
